Our Story
Our production was founded by a small committee in 2014 with the goal to create an annual theatrical production that would entertain, educate, and engage our local community and beyond. Shortly thereafter, Robert Inman was commissioned to write the original script, the creative team was assembled, and the rest is, well, history.​
Liberty Mountain tells the story of the brave men, women, and children that helped forge our nation as they fought battles on the home-front, during great travels, and on top of a ridge called Kings Mountain. It's filled with music that will touch your soul, testaments of perseverance, bravery, faith, and love, and a message of liberty that will ring in your memory for years to come.

A drama full of both fictional and real characters, you'll meet families as they travel to America, quickly met with hardship, resistance, death, and the challenge to take up arms and fight for what they believe in.

In September 1780, Major Patrick Ferguson issued a challenge to the rebel militias to lay down their arms or suffer the consequences. In response, people across Carolina, Virginia, Tennessee and beyond rallied together to answer Ferguson's threat and fight for their freedom. They marched more that 300 miles through rugged country and weather to face a well-trained group of superior size and strength. What they did at Kings Mountain turned the tide of the American Revolution.
